A real jewel for the table designed by French Designer Thomas Basted and crafted by Master Cutler Claude Dozorme to pay tribute to both Thiers city, France capital of cutlery, and the Thiers knife, only produced in Thiers, which is the main city by the way producing the famous & genuine Laguiole, also both a shape and a village nearby Thiers.

In the spirit of the acclaimed asymmetric Thiers steak knives precedingly created by the duo Bastide / Dozorme, Thiers L'Ame Luxe impresses by the amazing goldsmith work on one side of the handle: diamond cut faceted of a thick shiny & polished nickel plate riveted to the strong stainless steel full tang knife. The handle, like diamonds, will never have the same shades and colors due to the magnificent multi-reflections of lights. A true declination high-jewelry! The other side is made of Bakelite (an acrylic), a solid dishwasher safe material (the whole knife is) procuring a very comfortable handling, and polished in an angle way that, once a the table, the edge of the blade will never touch the table: smart, elegant & hygienic.

The Designer ~ Thomas Bastide is the renown French resident designer for the prestigious crystal workshops Baccarat, and creates regularly acclaimed objects many other luxury workshops such as Hermes and Christofle. Claude Dozorme cutlery first approached T. Bastide to revisit the traditional Thiers steak knife, the twin brother of Laguiole. A rich and successful partnership between the historic French cutlery workshop and the talented designer having already launched 4 collections together: FlatCut, Thiers Shadow, Thiers L'Ame & Thiers L'Ame Luxe.

Claude Dozorme cutlery ~ At heart of Thiers, France and Europe capital of cutlery, the Dozorme family of Master cutlers were already the first to innovate in the early 1900's by transforming the famous Laguiole knife, a folding knife only at that time, into the famous table knife, fixed blade, found on the best tables around the world nowadays. For more than 120 years, Dozorme cutlery has perfected its knife making traditions while always innovating in new techs, systems and designs.
